Warriors compete in Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic
ASHLAND, Neb. – The Warriors competed in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic on Oct. 25. The men saw 341 competitors in the 8K while 275 athletes competed in the women's 6K. Daryen Jefferson led the men with a time of 27:46.54 in the 8K to finish 179th while Lydia Nelson led the women in the 6K with a time of 27:18.87 to place 231st.
Jace Gaston ran the second fastest time for the Warriors in the 8K with a time of 28:18.49 to place 208th followed by Jacob Tonne who finished 228th with a time of 28:42.15. Camyrn Gantt and Ian Chrisler finished neck and neck at 252nd and 253rd with times of 29:10.9 and 29:14.55 respectively.
Rounding out the field for the men was Wesley Brantley. He ran a time of 30:59.63 to place 304th.
For the women, Claire Miller ran a time of 28:07.38 in the 6K to place 241st while Audrey Blake finished 264th with a time of 10:39.07.
Both teams will compete in the KCAC Championships hosted in Leavenworth, Kan. on Saturday, Nov. 8.
