Duckworth earns KCAC Defender of the Week
KANSAS — Laura Gieseler of No. 15 Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Bella Duckworth of Sterling College have earned this week's KCAC Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 1-7 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Laura Gieseler - #15 Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Giseler was a pivotal force in both of OKWU's games last week, scoring the game-winning goal in both contests. She scored in the 27th minute against No. 13 MidAmerica Nazarene in a 2-0 victory for the Eagles, and scored in the 74th minute to put away Lindsey Wilson.

Defensive Player of the Week
Bella Duckworth - Sterling College

Duckworth battled from the goalie position this week. She recorded seven saves in the Lady Warriors' win against Hesston College, only allowing two scores for a save percentage of .778. In the contest against Williams Baptist, Sterling played a man down in the defensive position and Duckworth still managed seven saves with a save percentage of .636 through many one-on-one attempts.
