Clason, Heskamp named NCCAA Central All-Region Second team
The Lady Warriors continue to receive honors in the post season, with the latest coming from NCCAA with the announcement of the Central All-Region Team.
Korynn Clason and Alissa Heskamp were both named NCCA All-Region Second Team.
This season, Clason has been a staple in Sterling's offense. The senior from Cambridge, Neb. averaged 22.2 points per game shooting 48% from the field including 45% from three-point land. She was also named KCAC Player of the Year and named to KCAC All-Conference First team.
Heskamp has also been key to the Lady Warrior's success this season. The senior from Spearville, Kan. averaged 13.5 points per game shooting 54.8% from the field including 42% from beyond the arc. She also got it done on the defense end, leading Sterling in steals per game with just over two. Heskamp was also named KCAC All-Conference Third team.
"What a great honor for Korynn and Alissa to be named NCCAA Second Team All-Region. Both are very deserving of this recognition and it shows the respect other coaches in our region have for the hard work and dedication they have given to the team this season," head coach K.C. Bassett said.
Sterling's season continues as they are set to take on Bethel (Tenn.) in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament on Friday, March 14.
