Jones named KCAC and NCCAA Field Athlete of the Week
WICHITA, Kan. — Kobe Brown of McPherson College and Charles Jones of Sterling College have earned the KCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from March 24-30 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Jones also earned NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week for his performance.

Jones had a record-breaking performance in the jumps at the Emporia State University Relays. He finished second in the triple jump with an NAIA "A" Standard jump of 15.05m, which also ranks No. 3 in the NAIA so far this year and is a new school record for Sterling College. Jones also broke Sterling's school record in the long jump, where he placed ninth with a mark of 7.13m. He also won the high jump with a jump of 2.01m.

Brown had a strong showing this weekend at the OBU Invitational, winning the 200m with a time of 21.31, and finishing eighth out of 51 in the 100m with a time of 10.65. Both times narrowly missed NAIA "B" qualifying standards.
