Bio

Trajen Smith, hailing from Wellsville, Kansas, joined Sterling College in 2023. Initially serving as an Athletics Admissions Counselor, he transitioned to the role of assistant track coach in the summer of 2025.

Smith earned his Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Tabor College in 2021. He furthered his education at Tabor College, obtaining a Master of Business Administration in Sports Management and Athletic Leadership in 2023.

While at Tabor, Smith ran track for the Bluejays and set the school record in the javelin throw at 60.69m (199-1). While working towards his masters, he served as the graduate assistant of strength and conditioning at Tabor.

Smith resides in Sterling, Kan., with his wife, Taya, the Sports Information Director for Sterling College, and their dog.
