Boisdenghien, Felipoff receive KCAC All-Conference Honors
WICHITA, Kan. - The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2025 All-Conference teams and individual award winners for men's tennis. Student-athletes were selected for all awards by a vote of the KCAC head men's tennis coaches.
Sterling College's Louis Boisdenghien and Pedro Felipoff were honored as All-KCAC Second Team and All-KCAC Honorable Mention.
"Pedro Felipoff, who has played no. 1 singles this season, and Louis Boisdenghien, who started as a double's player and then worked his way up to a no. 3 singles position, are both key components of our team's success and dynamic. I am extremely proud of their accomplishments, and the way they've carried themselves throughout this season. Coaching them for the first time has truly been a pleasure, and I look forward to more seasons together," Head Tennis Coach Nicole Salazar said.
Salazar has been very proud of how the team has competed as a whole.
"I am incredibly proud of this group. They have all done an excellent job at leading their team in the best way on and off the court. Showing exemplary character and commitment, they have played at some of the hardest lineup spots, and persevered against tough opponents," Head Tennis Coach Nicole Salazar said.
Ottawa University took home the regular-season conference title with an unblemished 12-0 mark in KCAC play. The Braves narrowly edged out Bethel College, which finished second in the regular-season standings at 11-1.
The Braves and Threshers took home three of the six men's tennis individual awards. Santiago Tartaglia of Ottawa was named the KCAC Men's Tennis Player of the Year, making the jump from the honorable mention All-KCAC squad in the 2024 season to the first team and earning the Player of the Year honor in 2025. James Menard of Bethel was named the KCAC Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Bethel coach Gabe Johnson was named the KCAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year by his peers for the second consecutive year.
Francisco Bravo of Bethany College took home the KCAC Men's Tennis Freshman of the Year honor, while Angel Gomez of Evangel University was named the KCAC Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. Luke Craft of Kansas Wesleyan University was honored with the KCAC Men's Tennis Sportsmanship Award.
