Warriors dominate Coyotes, get the 6-1 win

Warrior tennis had a dominant performance over Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Kan. on Monday, April 14. The men came away with the 6-1 win, only losing one set throughout the entire day.

Sterling started with a sweep of the doubles matches. Kyosuke Ishida and Kazuki Fukushima beat Raul Davalos and Gavin Chavez 7-6 in no. 1 doubles play. In the no. 2 doubles match, the duo of Adam King and Louis Boisdenghien got the 6-0 victory over Paul Jittawait and Zachary Daley. David Garces and Patricio Cifuentes Aguilar finished things out with a 6-3 win in the no. 3 doubles match beating Jacob Marshall and Felix Rodriguez.

The Warrior's sole loss of the day was in the no. 1 singles match as Pedro Felipoff battled against Davalos and lost 6-0, 6-4. Boisdenghien represented Sterling in no. 2 singles play beating Jack Hanson 6-1, 6-1. In the no. 3 singles match, Yohann Molle took on Jittawait and won 6-4, 6-1.

Sterling continued to roll with Angel Marin getting the 6-4, 6-3 victory over Chavez in the no. 4 singles match while Nicholas Sprenger Sampaio beat Collin Phelps in no. 5 singles play, 6-2, 6-4. Cifuentes Aguilar finished things out in the no. 6 singles position with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Benjamin Cechak.

The Warriors will be back in action in Kansas City, Mo. on Thursday, April 17 as they face Avila University.
