Kelly earns KCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
KANSAS —Matias Mazieres of (RV) Ottawa University and Cassidy Kelly of Sterling College have earned this week's KCAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Sept. 29-Oct. 5 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Offensive Player of the Week
Matias Mazieres - (RV) Ottawa University

The offense for the Braves was playing at an extremely high level this week, scoring seven goals in both contests, and Mazieres played a big part in that success. In a 7-1 win over Avila, Mazieres scored a goal and dished out two assists, accumulating four points. Against McPherson, in a 7-0 win for Ottawa, he produced at an even higher clip, scoring three goals and dishing out an assist to tally seven points on the day.

Defensive Player of the Week
Cassidy Kelly - Sterling College

Kelly helped the Warriors to a 3-2 victory over Avila. In the game, he tallied six saves, only allowing two goals scored for a save percentage of .750. This marks the second time this season Kelly has been named the KCAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
