Kelly named KCAC Defensive Player of the Week

KANSAS — Dusan Vlalukin of No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Cassidy Kelly of Sterling College have earned this week's KCAC Men's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Aug. 25-31 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
 


 

Offensive Player of the Week

Dusan Vlalukin - #5 Oklahoma Wesleyan University

Vlalukin was a huge part of the Eagles' 3-2 victory over No. 15 Baker (Kan.), tallying two goals, including the game-winner in the 84th minute. He scored both his goals in the second half after OKWU went into halftime tied 1-1, and had a 100% SOG percentage.

Defensive Player of the Week

Cassidy Kelly - Sterling College

Kelly had some big saves for the Warriors against a tough University of Science and Arts (Okla.) team. Despite the score, Kelly was able to give the Warriors some hope with key one-on-one stops that led to five saves on the game.
