Bio

Daniel Ramirez came to Sterling from Bogota, Colombia. His journey at Sterling College began in 2019 as a student-athlete, where he was a dedicated member of the golf team.

After graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Ramirez took on the role of interim head golf coach for two years. In 2025, he officially became the head golf coach for Sterling College.

In addition to his undergraduate degree, Ramirez also holds a Master of Business Administration from Friends University, which he completed in the spring of 2025.

While at Sterling College, Ramirez earned several accolades and awards. He was a two-time recipient of the NCCAA Scholar Team Award and was part of the golf team that won the conference championship for the first time in school history.

In 2023, he received the All-American Scholar Award from the Golf Coaches Association of America. As the head golf coach, Ramirez has coached two KCAC All-Conference players, three Tournament KCAC All-Conference team members and three All-American Scholars.

Ramirez currently resides in Lyons, Kan., with his wife Kaylea, an athletic trainer at Sterling College.
