Warriors finish second at KCAC Championship
Sterling College's men's golf finished second at the KCAC Championship held in Garden City, Kan. at the Buffalo Dunes Golf Course on Monday-Wednesday, April 28-30.
The teams played three rounds, on the 6,839-yard course with a par of 72. The Warriors combined for a team score of 1,124, shooting 376 on day one, 379 on day two and 369 on the final day.
Anders Hermansen led the Warriors and finished second overall with a total score of 217 (73-75-69). Sondre Storli Jenson tied for fourth shooting a total score of 218 (68-76-74).
Zach Surface also finished in the top 10 with a ninth-place finish with a score of 221 (80-70-71). Nick Ritchie tied for 18th in shooting a combined 231 (76-77-78).
Ollie Aucoin rounded out the field tying for 29th and finishing with a score of 237 (79-81-77).
Other KCAC honors for the Warriors include Jensen and Ritchie being named KCAC All-Conference Second Team and Aucoin being named Sterling's Champion of Character.
