Eight warriors named NCCAA DI Scholar Athletes
Sterling College had eight warriors named 2025 NCCAA DI Basketball Scholar Scholar Athlete. To receive this award student athletes must be of junior, senior or graduate student standing, have completed at least one term at the nominating institution, be a competing student athlete in the sport for which they are nominated and maintained a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.40.
On the men's side, three students athletes received this award including:
- Jayden Garrison, a senior from Little River, Kan. majoring in Business Administration
- Trey McClure, a senior from Lyons, Kan. majoring in Accounting
- Eric Smith, a junior from Overland Park, Kan. majoring in Elementary Education
For the women, five Lady Warriors received the award including:
- Kali Brair, a junior from Sterling, Kan. majoring in Graphic Design
- Korynn Clason, a senior from Cambridge, Neb. majoring in Health Science - Pre-Physical Therapy
- Evie Gill, a senior from St. George, Kan. majoring in Health Science - Pre-Physical Therapy
- Alissa Heskamp, a senior from Spearville, Kan. majoring in Health and Human Performance
- Kayla Morris, a senior from Sterling, Kan. majoring in Health and Human Performance
