2012 Football Recruiting Class Takes Shape
STERLING, Kan. – Sterling College Warrior Football in 2012 is starting to take shape. Coach Andy Lambert and his staff have brought in seven transfer students that are on campus now and will compete in spring football. The Warrior coaching staff has signed 13 players for the recruiting class of 2012 and is working on bringing in 20 additional recruits as well.
Of the seven transfers, three are quarterbacks. The quarterbacks are John Cardona of Los Angeles Calif., Reggie Langord of Sacramento, Calif., and Tyndan Marquez of Grenada, Colo. The other three spring recruits are Renard Ballard, a tight end from Los Angeles, Calif., Josh Curtis, and offensive lineman from Salina, Kan., Bryron Riggs, a wide receiver from Sacramento, Calif., and JR Soloria, a linebacker from San Diego, Calif.
For the Fall of 2012 recruiting class, Lambert and staff have inked 13 student-athletes. Those players committed are:

Chris Cargile – Pasadena, Texas
Antwan Carson – St. Petersburg, Fla.
Aren Coppoc – Concordia, Kan.
Marcus Duran – Campbell, Calif.
Adam Flowers – Pratt, Kan.
Jacob Froese – Ellsworth, Kan.
Keith Lawson – Orange, Calif.
Sergio Natividad – Locust Grove, Okla.
Jacob Spleiss – Camp Verde, Ariz.
Mar E. Whitson – Blue Rapids, Kan.
Josh Johnson – Tyler, Texas
Daniel Andrews – Enterprise, Ala.
"Our class for 2012, along with our transfers on campus this spring, is one of the best overall groups we have recruited here," said Lambert. "They are great fits for Sterling athletically, academically, as well as socially."
