STERLING, Kan. - Sterling College played host to the 2012 KCAC Track & Field Championships this past week and the Running Warriors didn't disappoint the home crowd. With one event champion, two KCAC runner ups, three third place finishes, two school records and 10 honorable mention KCAC performances; Sterling track finished the season on a high note on their home turf.

HUTCHINSON, Kan.– The top seeded Sterling College Warriors completed a sweep of the KCAC Championship Tournament by defeating No. 2 Tabor College for the second time in two days 9-5. Sterling becomes the 2012 KCAC Champion and will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NAIA Baseball Championship Opening Round. Tabor also receives on automatic bid as the Bluejays will host one of nine five team double elimination tournament in Hutchinson, Kan. at Hobart-Detter Field. The two teams will find out their draws on Sunday.

HUTCHINSON, Kan.– At Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson, Kan., Sterling College (42-12) came back from a six run deficit to advance past Tabor College (40-12) into tomorrow's KCAC Baseball Championship Tournament Final. The Warriors scored eight unanswered runs in the final five innings to send the Bluejays to play in the loser's bracket final against Kansas Wesleyan University at 7:00 pm this evening.
