HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Lady Warriors found themselves ahead of Bethany 2-1 before the Lady Swedes produced a five run bottom of the fifth to give Sterling its first loss in the KCAC Tournament by a score of 6-2.

Carleigh Cupp pitched a complete game for Sterling, going 6.0 innings and giving up six runs, five earned, on nine hits with a strikeout.

Kelly Hannah led Sterling at the plate, going one for three with an RBI.

Sterling will now play McPherson in an elimination game.
