STERLING, Kan. – The Sterling College Lady Warrior senior softball players closed out their home careers in style on Saturday, sweeping the Threshers from Bethel College in a double header 7-3 and 12-9.

Senior Courtney Bell won the first game as the starting pitcher for Sterling, going the complete seven innings and giving up only three runs, two earned, on seven hits.

Fellow senior Alyssa Bell went one for three with two RBIs while Randi Lucas went two for three with three RBIs and a run scored.

In the second game, senior Angel Bigan went two for three from the plate in the Lady Warrior 12-9 victory, scoring three runs. Alyssa Bell went three for four with two RBIs. Courtney Bell went two for three with an RBI and two runs scored. Senior Molly Flickner went one for four with an RBI. The only senior not to record an RBI in the game was Alex Peters, who called a great game as the catcher for the Lady Warriors.

With the sweep, Sterling is 18-39 on the season, 4-14 in the KCAC.
