WICHITA, Kan. – In Wichita on Wednesday night, the Sterling College Lady Warriors upset the No. 15 Friends University Falcons by holding Friends to just 0.324 shooting from the field in the 69-57 Lady Warrior victory.

Kelly Curtis (5-6 SR Guard) had a breakout performance for SC, scoring 19 points, grabbing six rebounds and dishing out five assists. Cassi Spleiss (5-8 JR Forward) was the Lady Warriors' second leading scorer with 16 points. Megan Patrick (6-0 SR Forward) was the only other Lady Warrior in double figure scoring with 14 points.

Abby Fawcett led all scorers in the game, scoring 21 points for the Falcons. Minta Whetstone was also in double figures for Friends with 10 points.

With the win, Sterling improves to 10-8 on the season, 5-4 in the KCAC. The Lady Warriors will host the University of Saint Mary Spires on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Watch the game live on the Sterling College Sports Network.
