BARTLESVILLE, OKLA. – The Lady Warriors were on the road Thursday evening, to take on the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles for the final regular season road game. Despite a close first half, Sterling struggled to find any offense late in the game, as OKWU would pull ahead and go on to defeat the Lady Warriors, 68-50.

In the first quarter, Sterling would take an earl 6-0 lead behind back-to-back scores from Jessica Princ and basket inside by Hailey Davis. The Eagles would get on the board with a three-pointer, but a score from Jordin Greer and a free throw from Princ would keep the Lady Warriors ahead, 9-3. Oklahoma Wesleyan would start to step up their game, rattling off an 11-0 run to take a 12-9 lead. A score by Mayda Stallbaumer would stop the Eagle run, but OKWU would add seven straight points before the final minute of the quarter. Kilee Harris would get a bucket before the end of the first for Sterling, to make it 19-13 in favor of the Eagles.

Sterling would get buckets from Jessica Princ and Kennedy Sokoloski to start the second quarter, but the Eagles would answer back with a score of their own. A quick six-point swing from Sterling would give the Lady Warriors the lead with 1:33 left to play, but Oklahoma Wesleyan would knock down a three-pointer at the buzzer to keep the lead over Sterling at the half, 24-23.

Jessica Princ would score to open the third quarter to give the Lady Warriors the lead, but the Eagles would start to find their rhythm. After back-to-back baskets from Hailey Davis and Kilee Harris to tie the game at 31-31, the Lady Warriors would struggle to to keep up with the Eagles, as OKWU would go on an offensive surge, hitting key shots and knocking down five three-pointers on their way to taking a 52-34 lead after the third quarter.
