WINFIELD, Kan. – The Sterling College Warrior golf team finished fifth at the South Central Kansas Spring Invitational in Winfield, Kan. this week. The event, which was designated as a conference event, saw SC finish fourth out of the KCAC members playing in the tournament.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Sterling Men and Women's Golf teams participated in the annual Sterling Golf Invitational at the Carey Park Golf Course in Hutchinson, Kan. on Monday and Tuesday this week. Both Sterling's Men and Women's had excellent showings in the individual scores with Tanner George (SR/Hutchinson, Kan.) posting the best scores on the day, Layton Bogle (SR/Ben Wheeler, Texas) coming in third place, with Eva Varga (JR/Tucson, Ariz.)s placed third on the Women's side. 

Sterling's Men posted an overall 622 during the tournament to capture the first place trophy over Oklahoma Wesleyan University JV squad that shot 655 during the tournament. Tanner George had the best two days posting a 72 and 76, both tournament lows, to have the best score and take the first place in the individual awards. Layton Bogle hit 78 and 78 in his rounds to capture third place in the tournament, finishing only eight strokes behind George.

 

On the women's side, Eva Varga would turn in the best scores for the Lady Warriors by putting together a 167 score over her two days of play. Vargas would hit 85 in her first round and 82 in the second round to capture the third place spot in the tournament for individuals.

GARLAND, Texas – The Warrior golf team finished seventh in the John Davis Group UTD Classic on March 24 and 25. The three round tournament saw the Warriors turn in a team total of 1023.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The Sterling College Men and Women's Golf Teams concluded their invitational on Tuesday with the Men's "A" team shooting a two-day total of 597 which was good for third place and "B" team shooting a 710 for 12th. The Women shot a 784 in the two-day invitational, which is good for sixth place.
