EMPORIA, Kan. - Sophomore Kimberly Garrett was all business at the Sam Williams Twilight Qualifier Meet hosted by Emporia State on Saturday, May 11. Garrett who was coming off of a stellar performance at the KCAC meet just three days earlier had unfinished business she wanted to take care of before her season was officially over. Garrett accomplished that business by qualifying for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Indiana Wesleyan at the end of May.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – (Bracket | Live Video) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the official seeds and bracket for the 2013 Avista-NAIA World Series, hosted by Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) from May 24 – 31 at Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho. Faulkner (Ala.) received the No. 1 seed in the 57th annual event with an Opening Round championship at the Montgomery Bracket.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – With a 1-0 victory over No. 2 Oklahoma City, No. 15 Sterling (Kan.) will make its first ever trip to the NAIA World Series. Sterling can now add the title NAIA Oklahoma City Opening Round Champion to the titles of Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) Co-Champion and KCAC Tournament Champion. The Warriors held Oklahoma City, who is 14th in the NAIA with 7.085 runs scored per game, scoreless on just three hits on the way to a victory.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Warriors started off hot in their game against Jamestown (N.D.) on Friday afternoon in the NAIA Opening Round, scoring six runs in the top of the first inning on the way to a 13-3 smashing of the Jimmies. With the win, Sterling vaults into the Oklahoma City Opening Round Championship Series and is one win away from the 57th Annual NAIA Baseball World Series.
